San Carlos lake is still closed
« on: January 14, 2013, 06:43 PM »
talked to a real nice wild life manager at the san carlos wildlife office today, he confirmed the lake is still closed to entry (wanted to go up and duck hunt it) He did say there is runoff coming into the lake from both san carlos river and the gila. He also said that did did a quick shocking trip out on the lake right after the low water mark and die off and said there are still bass, catfish and shad alive in the lake, he said they didn't set nets or shock up any crappie (quick trip) but believes since shad have survived that some of the crappie should still be OK?
