Could use a few pointers please regarding where to fish and what techniques and when to fish for Crappies. I'm from Wisconsin and fishing in Arizona isn't the same and finding it tough to find decent lakes that produce decent fish.

I've come across Lake Alamo for Crappies and I live in Glendale and don't have a boat so questions:
* Do you have to pay to fish at this lake?
* Do they have boat rentals?
* Is there a slot/bag limit for Crappies on this lake
* What other kinds of fish are in this lake

This lake is 2hours away so would like to be prepared as much as possible. Also with all the other fishing reports I read from down here now knowing that all the lake are man made. What should the normal person consume from these lakes, seems as if there is a lot of stale water causing contamination?

Welcome, I was born in Kenosha, what part are you from?

To answer your questions.....yes, no, no & bass, catfish, bluegill, carp and talipa. These AZ lakes are hard to shore fish no matter what you are fishing for. It would be best to backseat with someone on here until you can get a boat.
