Yogi and I to discuss in a couple hours but most likely headed up this afternoon for some night fishing... NOT!  Actually, we are planning on heading up tonight (Friday) and will meet up with Freshwater, The Merlot Kid, and Cousinlll.  Planning on staying both nights.   My boat needs a wash so no travel cover so will get it cleaned out on the way up.  Will fish Saturday with bimini top up and meeting at 2pm followed by who knows what.  I'm going to bring firewood with potential for Saturday night fire to stay warm - we will see.

Wow you guys are intense. The cold weather is to much for me. But I guess when your 6'2 and only weigh 135 lbs you get cold very easy. One word comes to mind dedication. You guys keep warm up their and good luck. I know a lot of people getting sick with all these last minute cold fronts.

So we lucked out.  Weather on Saturday was cold but only a few sprinkles.  And no wind.  Caught a 14" crappie on my 14' rod so was happy to not get skunked like usual.   Hoping to upgrade to 16" crappie on my 16' rod next time.  Campfire Saturday night was great.  Looking forward to seeing everyone up there again for the spring crappie fest.

Yeah Matt, was actually a pretty nice weekend IMHO.  Yes, a bit of rain on Friday but Saturday was nice w/ a bit of wind just as I was coming in for the 2pm meeting.  Congrats on your Crappie, post cold front w/ storm so good going!  Although pretty sad when you give a guy props for catching just 1 Crappie!  BUT, it's gotta get better soon......Right?  But way to show us all up Matt!

I fished in & around the trees west of Why Cove long lining grubs with no joy.  Did graph a small school of "something"  :dontknow: but couldn't get them to bite.  Was thinking my success a year or so ago 4x4ing through the trees with similar conditions might pay off again.  So much for that!

Pretty good turn out for the meeting given the weather.  Boston's for a darn good burger & back to camp for Matt's campfire.  Clouds moved off to the east bringing out the stars
