Bartlet 3-27-13
« on: March 27, 2013, 04:13 PM »

Went out to Bartlet today.
Put in at Yellow Cliffs and worked up the lake about 1 1/2 miles.
On the water about 10am off about 2pm.
Probably saw 8-9 other boats fishing, none that we spoke to had caught anything -- we did not see any fish caught. One boat had been at the lake 2 days and empty. Water temp read 63 degrees everywhere we went.  The most fish we marked were near the bottom in 30-40 foot of water (a few at 25 maybe) -- did not find anything in the shallower water. Did not catch zip diddly squat. One guy said he "had seen crappie earlier" across from where we launched.

Thanks for the report.  Good or bad report, I appreciate it.

Just about to start a new one but read this and I have the same report as PV. Only I started about 1100 and fished till 1700 and worked my way up past the unmarked hazzard bouys. Did see lots of bait schools and still caught zero crappie. It was a good day though spent with my grandaughter. See you guys next weekend.
