3/26/13 Bartlett

Got to lake around 7:20. Lil breezy water temp 60. Head straight back to river and fished echo. No bites till around 8:30 9 when temp started rising. Got some nice slabs out of their this morning my biggest today was  1.10 lbs. Took a busy of mine who again never caught a crappie he got a real nice 1.8 lb and several others. Bite died off their around 1pm. So we ran up to Jack cove and picked up a few nice ones in thier. In total we got 20-25. All were over 1.5lbs except 1.

Jigs just don't seem to be as effective as minnows are right now. Even with minnows haveing to cover some water. We are finding large schools right outside echo cove in 30 ft. So I still think its righ around corner and probably be wild.

Also meet whaler and stevert out their for first time.  Both really nice guys. Hopefully we can next time we can do some fishing together. My buddy had to be to work or we would have stayed till dark or no minnows!!!!

Pics of two big fish of day below !!!
