3-30-13 Tonto end

9 in the boat, lost 2 just shy of the net.  6-10ft deep at a crawl.  Another fun day with the old man

Hit up the Tonto end as well early in the AM.  Was surprised to see the Flotilla over 35 ft. of water with water temp's being in the 60's and a full moon in effect.  I thought they'd be in much shallower water.  We only picked up 2 (3 missed hookups as well) but we might have been trolling too fast we were at .6 - 1.0 mph.  Our depth was at 8 ft.  Tried every color with/without minnows and just plain minnows on a hook.  About 10 am we left the flotilla and tried some areas across from the dam.

We avoided the flotilla for the most part.  Early we focused near the "No Wake" bouys and trees at the north end of Bermuda Flatts in 28-32ft of water picking up 4 and losing 2 just inches from the net.  Moved closer to Indian Point and had 3 fish in about 15 minutes, then picked up a crappie here and there in 16-22ft of water.

I noticed in another post where the comment was made about how boaters would fish an area for a few minutes and leave.  We saw the exact same thing.  We worked 2 areas for about 3-4hrs each.

Though I live 5 minutes from Schoolhouse I havent been down there for 2 months now. But the SRP  Daily water report  website says the water is still 2 feet below the ramp today.
Can someone tell me if the schoolhouse boat ramp is back in water and usable yet?

Getting closer, but the Schoolhouse ramp is still out of the water. At the rate the lake is slowly rising I'm quite sure it will not be open for the SCF.........Art
