I have fished that way for years, not with a bottom bouncer but with 3 way swivel/weight on short drop and plain hook on 2-3' leader. Grew up fishing it for walleye in MN and works for just about anything anywhere.
Depth control/boat control!
Thanks

we got our bottom bouncing minnows.
Now I've heard it all!  Always new techniques from you Bob. Thanks for the insight but not sure I'll be trying that one out soon.

We tried the technique from 7' of water down to 35' but most fish were caught around 9' on the bottom.  Bartlett is the perfect lake for bottom bouncing/drop shotting, virtually nothing to hang up on.  I never broke off yesterday and was fishing 4 lb and 6 lb.  Don only broke off twice.

Only twice.....he must have been "out of the water" for an hour or so......... :bootyshake:

I had to give Bob a chance.  He still came up two fish short.

Way to put it on him Don!  Maybe next time fish with one pole to give him a chance.
