Alamo 9/19,9/20

Fished Alamo Friday and Saturday with the club. One word for the conditions...HOT....Water surface temps were in the upper 80's. Water was very stained, and lots of small floating debris in certain areas. We launched and recovered at the dirt ramp past the A and B campsites. There is a floating dock there, and no problem getting in and out. Daytime fishing was slow, but we bagged some crappie long line trolling with jigs, and using crankbaits. We primarily fished the trees across and down from the Cholla ramp trying to stay in 15 to 25 FOW. Night fishing with vertical rigs was hit and miss. Again we targeted some trees in the same area and dropped the lights. First night we caught 5 crappie and 8 cat fish. Second night before the heat got us we got 5 more crappie. Tough out there, but we had a mix bag of crappie. Some under 10, which we threw back, and the biggest being about 15 inches.
SEA.....HAWKS....
