I agree and once again suggest the used markets , I purchased a used Terrova , ipilot, and built in transducer on Craigslist for $600  it has functioned ,perfectly deals can be found , if you are going new check out the internet , Reeds.com does price matching as do many others , extreme marine, bbg, etc lots good prices on the net .

+1 on shopping around. I got my stuff at BBG, and Universal Mania. Someone is always throwing a deal out there.

And if you use craigslist, make your life a lot easier and use ifttt.com to have it email you when a new post for something you are interested appears on craigslist.  Much better than checking manually every day.
