Pleasent Crappie
« on: February 19, 2015, 12:10 PM »
Has anyone investigated the crappie reported by the AZGF at Pleasant?  In their weekly fishing report last week they said the found many crappie in the backs of the north coves.  Just wondering if anyone has been after them.  About 5 years ago I caught the crap out of the crappie there.  I'm wondering if it's going to be a good season there again.  I know not many people fish for them there, but maybe we should.

Very curious about those reports myself, been about 7 or 8 years for me targeting them there and catching good numbers.  Would love to see that they have bounced back a little.

have caught crappie in the spring in the river but right now that is closed off for the eagles, if it opens early like it has the last several years due to nest failure I will try and get after them, lake is fuller than it has been in about 3 years and presently is stable so if the weather holds and the lake does not drop quick it could be a good year?
