Anyone had fried crappie tails

Buddy said that fried crappie tails are a delicacy down southern U.S. I thought he was BS'ing  :o so I did a google search (fried crappie tails) and there is actually a Youtube video on it and several websites comment on it, anyone ever tried fried crappie tails :dontknow:

Plenty of bluegill tails, never crappie tails though.

When I was a kid in NorCal we ate everything except the head and guts. The fins were awesome!

Plenty of bluegill tails, never crappie tails though.

ya we used to filet our bluegills scrape off the scales and deep fry filet and skins on and they were great :dance:
