Fool Hollow 9/26
« on: September 28, 2015, 10:36 AM »
Camped up there for the weekend and while I did not really target crappie, I did manage one 8 incher Friday night from shore.  Probably could have caught a few more had I tried a little harder.  Fish was caught in about 7-8 feet of water on a slip bobber.

did you hear the bull elk bugling at night?

7-8" crappie perfect northern pike food :(

Yes campsites are really nice there, I was impressed.  Facilities just like Rosey and some sites have electric and water (our did).  Definitely want to spend another weekend up there in the future.

Ha, no Bruce I wasn't in a hurry to get back as nice as it was up there.  Couldn't have asked for better weather.  Ya 7-8 inch crappie may be on the menu for large pike but there are lots of bluegill and sunfish in there for pike food as well as stocker trout with their fins clipped.  Hopefully the slime rockets go after them over crappie.
