For Those interested, Saturday night (time TBD after fish fry) we will be having a gentlemans or gentle-ladies Poker Tournament. $5 entry with ALL monies being paid out to the winners. I will supply all the cards, chips, dealer buttons, etc needed. It will be tournament style your $5 buying you in for 5,000 in chips. I will design the blind structure based on the total number of players and for how long we want it to run (also TBD based on when we start). I have included a good link for some training if you are new to the game, otherwise just show up and have fun.

Last year I believe we had a few people that wanted to play, but missed the starting time. I felt bad about that, so this year to prevent that, simply turn in your $5 to me anytime Saturday and I will reserve your place. Keep in mind, you will be blinded out with/without being in your seat.

When in doubt, set the hook!

Dave, We probably will not arrive to Spring Crappie Fest until after dark Friday evening. Just wondering if I had an assigned camp spot or just check in with you when we arrive. Really looking forward to seeing the entire Crappie Association Crew and maybe being competitive in the derby this year.

For all of you coming up for the derby this weekend. I called the store at Alamo, and they are expecting a shipment of minnows to arrive today. Just remember that the store opens at 8am, and closes at 430pm daily.

Wondering if anyone has a open backseat one of our members (Colter) who may have an opportunity to come up and fish the derby.   I would take him but looks like we already have 4 on our boat.  He is currently waiting for a TM rebuild kit so chances are his boat won't be ready this weekend.
