Patagonia 19-21 June
« on: June 23, 2016, 09:52 AM »
Bobby (Crowbait) and I fished Patagonia for 2 days and we only got one Crappie to show for it.  We targeted places that he used to catch Crappie when he fished the lake YEARS ago.  Caught a lot of bluegill with a few good ones mixed in and that made things interesting.  At night we used said bluegill for the kind of fish that eat them.  Y'all know what I'm talking about but I wanted to keep this Crappie related so it conforms to the rules and does not get moved.   :lol_hitting:  Using jigs (no live bait unless caught in the lake) from 1/16th down to 1/64th we vertically fished around trees and drop-offs.  Nice lake with a lot of structure and good looking areas.  Need to go back and figure it out a bit better.

Yes, had two of them come into camp during the day to hang out for a bit, probably 45ish yards from us.  They fed and moved on after about 25 minutes.

Yes I do and can't wait to see him at the end of July.  So far from what he has told us he has been chow runner, dorm guard monitor and element leader.  That's a lot for a young buck, he must be making a good impression!
