Roosevelt March 29
« on: March 30, 2024, 09:08 AM »
Tommy and I hit Roosevelt lake Friday April 29 launched at Schoolhouse and headed across the lake.  We saw a floatilla (6 boats?) in the middle there where there's a black buoy for depth but didn't see that many fish being caught.  We spent most of our time near shoreline casting to shore and dropping jigs and bare hook minnows in trees and caught a couple crappie and lots of bass.  We did find livescope showed lots of action but most looked like carp so weren't in the right area.

I did talk to Art and he mentioned several folks have been having better luck on Tonto end trolling jigs tipped with minnows catching bigger crappie.
