From Clayton Ross:
Arizona Mule Deer Organization Annual Crappie Tournament is Saturday, March 7th 2020 at Alamo Lake. Entry is $75.00. Tournament starts at safe light around 6:30 am and ends at 1:00 pm. check-in starts at 5 AM and we will be in camp space E 64. That is the last campground on the right before you get to the Cholla Ramp and we are the first space on the left as you enter. Everybody must check in that morning. And be back inside in the no wake bouys by 1:00 pm. Then put your boat on the trailer drive to the top of the ramp and weigh in your fish. Entry is $75 and that gets you in for a 50% payback of your 10 biggest Crappie. That pays one for every five entries. Option one is $25 and that is for biggest Crappie. That is a 100% payback for three places. And option two is $10 for biggest goon fish, this also is a 100% payback and also pays three places. If a largemouth bass is used for a goon fish it must be weighed in alive and released. No dead largemouth bass will be allowed to be weighed in.. Rules are as follows 1. If it is allowed by Arizona Game And Fish we also allow it. 2. You can have as many people on your boat as is US Coast Guard approved and they are all entered in the tournament and all in the same options. In other words Guys I don't want four people on a boat and only one person in the big fish option. Come join us and have some fun and raise some money for a good organization. Any questions call Terry Herndon 623-696-5579 or Clayton Ross 602-740-3292

Good pre-fishing trip option for our tournament. Interested to see the kind of turnout a hunting club can pull for a crappie tourney.

Dave and I fished it last year....it was a huge turnout. We took 1st and 2nd in both total weight and big fish. It’s a “per person” not a per boat event. So you need a way to LLL your fish separate. Most used colored zip ties to do this.
When in doubt, set the hook!
