Saturday, February 15th is the Let's Talk Fishin' crappie tournament series at Roosevelt Lake.  While the tournament originated as a bass tournament series, the tournament director opened it up additionally as a crappie tournament in 2019.

While this is not an Arizona Crappie Association sponsored event, this is being shared by the Arizona Crappie Association as it may be of interested to club members and visitors of this site.

For information about the tournament, please check the Let's Talk Fishin' website or contact the tournament director, Tracy Purtee, at 928-978-3659 or email letstalkfishin@gmail.com.

I might be getting dragged to D-backs Fan Fest, so I'm definitely out for this.

Would be cool to see a crappie tourney get better turn out

We had five boats take the green flag yesterday in the crappie division of LTF. At the checkered flag it was the team of Dave Nichols (Tonto Basin) and Dave Prosper (Flagstaff) leveled the field with a seven fish limit that weighed 11.75 pounds with big fish of 2.42 lbs. Fishing close by Kasey and I had only 2 crappie for 3.25 with a 1.86 good for second place and second big fish. We got schooled! All fish were caught long line trolling on the Tonto end. ......Art

Thanks for the report Art, glad you got 5 teams this time should increase with the improving fishing and weather.

Thanks Art - that's a hefty batch of 7 fish there.  Weather was great too I bet.
