With literally all our desert lakes filling quite fast keep an eye out when boating and fishing especially if you have a boat that sits a little low in the water. You don't want an uninvited guest trying to hitch a ride. Rattle snakes don't like water but they can swim very well, to them your boat looks like an island and dry land. They can not strike as far in the water but will coil and strike, once in your boat you have to decide who is going to drive and who is going to go into the water and swim
They are displaced by the fast rising water.
