Bartlett 4/13
« on: April 13, 2020, 03:43 PM »
Launched from the main ramp at 0645, and headed up into the river. We fished in 12 to 20 FOW tight lining minnows right on tops of the trees. The slower we went the better we did. We boated 24, and left them biting at 1230. Water temps were up to 67 when we left. Still some logs floating around, so be aware of that.

So on the way a couple of the digital freeway signs said Tonto Forrest Rec sites closed, No lake access. There were 2 of them on the Red Mountain 202 between Broadway and the 101. I was nervous, but we drove out anyways. I'm guessing they were intended for Saguaro and Canyon. When we got there there were about 10 trailers in the parking lot, and 2 boats launching. Coming out was just as easy. Ramp is set up pretty well. There are essentially 6 lanes with a dock in the middle.

I love those signs, they make a great decoy for dissuading people from going to the lake.
