Bartlett 4/26/2020
« on: April 26, 2020, 04:00 PM »
This has been the weekend of “change of plans”....and with 6 dozen of Sparkchasers minows, CrappieNewbie and I raced off to Bartlett at 5:30am. Launched at 6:50 to 30 MPH winds and a pretty empty ramp but full parking lot. At 8MPH...made the 40 minute run way up river. Found several trees holding fish and moved from tree to tree picking up one with each move. Most in 18-22 FOW..boated 11 Crappie, most were spawned out females and 3 black nose. All on drop shot minows. Picked up a dozen bluegill, bunch of dink bass and one nice cat thst are my 1/16 BBC jig. At around 11:00 shifted to casting jugs shoreline in shore shallow slopes cove shoreline. Bunch of bluegill, bass, and one nice black nose in about 2 foot of water. Ended with 15 total Crappie......all were safely released. Off the water around 1:00 to a very busey ramp. Wind died down and was flat calm up river. Washing machine mid lake with all the wake board boats....my 16 footer and 9.9 Mercury had a nice coaster ride back in. She may be small.....but she be mighty.  As an added bonus, we rescued a drowning lizard. Jiggy Jiggy.
