ok this is a yearly deal 6 to 8 tourneys a year, at assorted lakes, im gonna paste info
Mission: Provide grass roots anglers the opportunity to tournament crappie fish and grow
the sport of crappie fishing on an informative, educational, competitive, fun, and friendly
stage while promoting our local fisheries, communities, and sponsors.
Beginning in 2020, Crappie Masters Clubs will be forming all over the United States.
Each club will be formatted the same with a touch of local flavor and will be headed up
by a local Tournament Director. A set of rules, membership guidelines, payback
schedules, sponsorship packages, banners, and scales will be provided. Each
tournament will have a cash payback and plaques awarded for the top teams. A season
long points race will take place on a 100 point system where angler teams will earn
points for their finishes per tournament and there will be a cash payback for the top
teams. Teams will be able to qualify for the club championship at the end of the regular
season by placing high in tournaments and the points race. The club championship will
follow up the regular season for qualified teams with a cash payback for top teams. All
tournaments must be completed by the second weekend of September each year.
Teams will have the opportunity to qualify for the Crappie Masters National
Championship through their club. Here are the details!!
1. Membership: A $35.00 annual membership is required to fish any Crappie
Masters tournaments. Membership is good for all Crappie Masters tournaments
including in state or out of state clubs and national qualifying tournaments. Each
member will receive a Crappie Masters Monthly Newsletter, Angler Discounts,
and will be entered into a monthly drawing for some great sponsor prizes.
Membership is required before you may participate in any tournament and can
be paid at registration. All membership monies will be paid to Crappie Masters.
2. Tournament Directors: A Tournament Director will be selected by Crappie
Masters for each club. Responsibilities include: selecting tournament sites and
dates, advertising club events, conduct registration and weigh in for each
tournament, enforce all rules and regulations, provide tournament results, sale
local sponsorships, fulfill local sponsor obligations, and maintain a professional
code of conduct
3. Club Tournaments: Each club will be required to conduct a minimum of six (6)
regular season tournaments. Additional tournaments can be conducted.
Tournament Director will select the lakes and dates. Tournaments may not
conflict with any Crappie Masters National Qualifying dates. Fishing hours will be
posted by Tournament Director. Crappie Masters rules will apply with the
exception of adjustments for local and state regulations. Tournament Director will
set up registration dates and sites and weigh in site. Entry fees are $100.00 per
tournament with a 90% payback. $5.00 per team will be held back for the big fish
pot and $5.00 will be held back for the annual points race. A payback schedule is
provided for all scenarios. Top three (3) places will be awarded a plaque.
Tournament Director will send results and pictures of the top three places and big
fish winner to Crappie Masters following the tournament. Tournament winners
will be qualified to fish in the Club Championship. Winning anglers will be

race, the top Adult/Youth team, and the top Male/Female team will be qualified to
fish in the Club Championship. A bump down in the points race will take place to
get the ten (10) points race spots filled for the Club Championship
5. Club Championship: Must be conducted by the second weekend in September.

leftover monies will be divided equally between the Tournament Director and
Crappie Masters.
7. Local Sponsors: Local Sponsors will take club tournament fishing to the next
level. Crappie Masters will provide a local sponsorship package to present to
potential local sponsors. Club Members can help secure many local sponsors so
donít be hesitant to ask for help. Crappie Masters will support all local sponsors

8. Teams fishing the club tournaments will have an opportunity to qualify for the
Crappie Masters National Championship where they will have the chance to fish
for over $120,000.00 in cash and prizes. Crappie Masters will invite the top five
(5) teams from the annual Club Points Race and the top three (3) teams from the
Club Championship tournament. Another chance to qualify will come from the
Points Accumulative Qualification. Any team fishing at least one (1) Crappie
Masters National Qualifier will be able to combine their points from the national
qualifier and their points from their club tournaments to earn a spot. They must
accumulate a minimum of 350 points and must submit their points to Crappie
Masters for verification.

Gizmo, thanks for the info it definitely sounds exciting to have potential for national presence for crappie in Arizona.  I don't know that we have anyone within the AZCA who can commit to leading up 6-8 tournaments as tournament director, but there is interest by our club members and site visitors of such a tournament.

There are some other social media sites in AZ you may find someone with interest - I'll message you some info.  There are enough lakes in AZ producing crappie it could be nice mix of lakes to spread the tournaments across.  Not sure if you know, but the AZCA holds a couple tournaments a year one in April the Spring Crappie Fest and another in October the Bob Hirsch Crappie Classic.  And, the AZ Mule Deer Association also holds a tournament I think it's March.  Let's Talk Fishin' (LTF) holds multiple tournaments a year.  Perhaps if there's a way to continue to hold those tournaments somehow connect them to the Crappie Masters tournaments it may make it easier for a tournament director to gather up interest and attendance.  Of course, any such combined tournaments would need to be discussed first with various groups (AZCA, LTF, AZ Mule Deer, etc.) as each hold their tournaments for various reasons and would not want to take away from them. If you end up finding a tournament director I can connect them up with the heads of each organization if that helps.
