Alamo 01/01/21

Marvin and I launched at safe light on New Years day. Headed straight up river and started slow trolleying double rigs tipped with minnows. 1 other boat in sight and no where near where we were fishing. No nibbles, bites, or fish. Long about 10:00 am saw what we thought were about 6 boats out at the buoy line. Packed up and headed that direction. When we got there is was six boats but 1/2 mile distance between each boat. Found 30-40 ft. of water changed to drop shot rigs and Marv picked up a nice slab within 5 minutes. We thought ok here we go. Picked up our second (and last fish) 3 hours later. The wind picked up and we decided to bag it. Talked to one other boat all day and they said a cold front had come thru and dropped the water temp. from 58 degrees to just over 50 degrees. I believe that 8 degrees is a drastic water tempature change for crappie and shut them down. My guess it was so slow for us is 30% water temperature change 70% WE SUCK
