I'm less picky (I get Ugly Stuk from Walmart) but lately a lot of folks are going for ACC Crappie Stix and for jigging rods check out https://acccrappiestix.com/product-category/jigging-rods/

Your line is highly important as well...

I use 15lb Suffix braid with fluorocarbon leaders in different strengths depending on what I'm doing.
