« on: May 19, 2024, 05:36 AM »
Bartlett lake along with Horse Shoe lake are closed as of this  morning 5/19 due to a large brush fire "Wild Cat" fire which started yesterday afternoon and this morning is over 5000 acres. People at the lake were escorted out yesterday. You will need to ck updates on either the local news or TNF website for closures

Thanks Bruce, is the fire contained and such? Curious if there was any damage or any visibility to the fire from Bartlett fishing/camping areas.

Yes Matt fire has not grown in over 2 days it is like 65% controlled the perimeters are good around the fire. Looking at the map of the burn area it does not appear the fire got close to the lake even to the north end of it. Basically it burned a wide area crossing the road in and then went straight north. Being a holiday weekend hopefully no one else is stupid and creates another fire in the area or others. I do know TNF has put restrictions out (no campfires) etc.
