Kayak Crappie Fishing

I’m just curious if their any kayak fisherman that target crappie at Roosevelt Lake that are members of this group. I’m considering making the trek from Northern Utah to Arizona with my Oldtown Sportsman 120 PDL and was hoping I might get some advice on wind sheltered areas that might be fairly close to boat ramps that would be easily accessible with a kayak on Roosevelt. Any kayak anglers in the group willing to point me in the right direction? TIA!

Just now joined and saw your post, so no idea if this is in time for you or not!
I like the Grapevine point area for kayak fishing, two major coves immediately east and west of the ramp have good depth and cover for crappies.

While I don't fish from a kayak agree with Jpeel. Pretty much any of the coves on the ramp side of the lake between Schoolhouse ramp and grapevine should hold fish and be somewhat protected.
