on the water 6:30pm. went mid lake, setup, got the lights out, and it was slowwww. I finally got my first and only striper in the boat at 3:30am. off the water by 5:30am. Willy brought home the skunk. I think Brian and Mac had 10 between them. It was cold out there last night. WOW middle of June and in the 60's.

Hawk,

We looked for your barge, Steves, and Larry's boats, but couldn't find them, se we tied up at the tires about 8:00 PM.  First fish at 8:30 and ended up with 6 between 18 to 24". Lost a couple more.  Started to pickup about 10:30, but left the tires about 11:00 due to wind and waves.  All fish in about 80' of water, casting out about 30' to 40'.  Hope others did well.

Hung out with the Crappie Crew last night for my second or third attempt at this Striper nite fishing thing.

Started out fishing before sunset around the islands near Humbug.  Was fishing for LM and yeah, pulled out the damn fairy wand.  Robo worm in Morning Dawn boated 3 quick ones before heading to meet the crew.

Found the crew with their lights already in the water - kinda hard to miss that bright green glow you can see from miles away!  Hey, who makes those lights anyway and where did you guys get them?  Pulled up close to them & settled in for what I thought would be a long evening.  Put out our lights and set the anchovies.  To my surprise I ended up catching 4 Stripers - two rats along to fairly decent ones.  From a guy that's not much into this still fishing thing, I'm now thinking I can get into this.

Left around 1am or so.  Fishing had slowed a bit more than likely due to all the snoring coming from unnamed Crappie Club members in an unnamed Crappie Club member's pontoon boat.  You guys know who you are.... :sleepy:  Pretty nice evening on the water overall.  Thanks guys for letting me tie up close to you & hang with you Striper experts!

thanks for the report Bill and others and thanks Bill for bringing the shirts so I could grab them, night fishing should only get better (dang lake is soooooooooo high right now) lots of places for the stripers to hide.

We ended up with 8 keepers, we threw back a few dinks. Very slow night with good company all around. The crown royal was not doing a good job of keeping me warm, I was freakin shivering while trying to catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
