Title: Upper Lake Mary 7/16 to 7/18
Post by: sparkchaser on July 19, 2020, 08:47 PM
We fished Thursday to Saturday. We primarily were targeting walleye, but ended up with with 2 crappie as well. Both of them came on bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses. We were trolling in 10 FOW. They were about a pound each and released. I haven't seen crappie up there in a few years.

Sounds awesome! I saw the pictures of the pike. How many walleye and pike did you also manage to snag?

We boated 3 pike, and 2 walleye. Lost two more walleye right at the boat. Pike came on swimbiats and cranks. Walleye came on bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses

Thanks for the info Spark. By far, my two favorite fish to eat are crappie and walleye.I need to make a point of it to target walleye here in AZ.

Thank again.

Meant to post these sooner.
Had a good time checking out Upper Lake Mary for the first time Jul17-Jul18
Most fish were caught trolling a silver Rapala across the aerator by the dam side.
The crappie was caught on a jig with a nightcrawler just a few feet dangling near the aerator.
