Matt just looked at the SRP website and yes they are delaying the water releases to a "later date" no date given. There is a new fire right next to the horseshoe lake road so that is probably the reason for delay.

good catch

Hey Bruce, I read online that the release was delayed due to a fire and the road to Horseshoe Lake is closed.  Any ideas?  I was thinking of hitting Bartlett this weekend and not having an influx of water coming in would be nice (for my fishing).

SRP has started releasing water from horseshoe lake again today similar to past releases, Bartlett lake will rise 12-14' in the next 10 days

I wasn't able to make the trip this year but got some occasional updates while they were up there -- internet access is poor up there and often no cell service on the lake.

After a 3 year hiatus, the Arizona Crappie Association's annual Lake Powell trip resumed this year. This trip is organized by long time member Dave Thompson and includes a week long stay at Bullfrog Marina and group meals each night. Here's a few pictures of the walleye, smallmouth, stripers, catfish and everything in between they caught.
