Title: New to Fishing ALAMO
Post by: azdigger on January 20, 2011, 04:22 PM
I fished Alamo last year a few times but not enough to know the lake.
I launch across from the boat ramps at the end of alamo road coming from Yucca.
I have a 10 Pelican boat and right now just a trolling motor.
my questions are.
when is the time to start looking for crappie?
what is the best time to be on the lake for the "bite"
I don't fish live bait , other than worms so what would suggested lures be.
Oh yeah, I am an ultra lite lover, love to fish light lines.
Thanks
Rick

light 32 or 16th jigs with john deere, lime green, or bbc black blue and chart soft plastic grubs attached. if your fly fishing use an olive wooly bugger or a light streamer in green or bbc or a muddler minnow. slow steady retrieve or troll. let us know how et goes.
