Title: Roosevelt 12-16-10
Post by: cousinlll on December 16, 2010, 11:51 PM
Fished Roosevelt today despite the weather.  Actually not bad up til 3:30pm.  On the water at 9am and hit a GPS spot my friend gave me on the north side of the lake across from Schoolhouse.  No joy there!

Moved east a bit around noon & found the Crappie Bite!  From noon until about 3:30ish managed to boat 9 very nice Crappie - had a s*&%ty scale but the first one I weighed went 1 3/4 lbs.  All had to be between that and 2 lbs easy.  Lost 3 at the boat and missed 2 while texting!  Learned my lesson today - Do NOT Text & Fish!!   All fish were caught on BBC.

Needed to come back to the valley tonight for some emergency trailer welding repair so with that done, heading back up in the am to see if the bite still holds.

More in the members section.....

Great job!

This is why we shouldn't have signals on our phone at the lake. Ruins the fishing... However, it's great for making immediate fish count updates on the forum. lol   :)
