I got a call this afternoon from my buddy, Dave Nichols, that he and his wife Kari caught 19 crappie this Sunday morning up by the Salt buoy line. Their crappie came on Roadrunners, BBC, and if I know them, tipped with a minnow. One of the other boats caught 12 but a couple of the eight boats caught nothing. It was cloudy all morning and they quit when the sun came out about noon. I hope this holds for my trip Tuesday! .........Art

Thanks for the report Art! Are you still using minnows? I'm heading back to Rosy Wed morning until Friday afternoon. Noticed the relationship between the bite & cloud cover myself.

I personally haven't fished with a minnow the last couple of times out but the clients have. It's been about 50/50 for catching with or without minnows. .....Art

Hey Art, thanks for the report! I went up there today and got 8 nice slabs. My best crappie trip in a long time. Some of those fish were fat. Biggest was 2lbs 6oz. Good luck tomorrow!
