General Discussion / Re: Fill my Lakes

Some major flows happening everywhere and expect them to grow over the next few days, we should have a full lake at every one of our major Crappie destinations with back up water in Horseshoe.

At the group site, are there assigned camp spots we choose ahead of time or first come first serve?
No assigned spots just a really big open area you can setup camp anywhere.  We'll have campfire and stuff near the ramada as there is a fire ring and some bench seats there.  We should be in the large group site #1 / A from what the state park guys confirmed.  If you have any issues, reach out to Drew, Oscar, or Tim at Alamo Lake State park and just mention Arizona Crappie Association.  I reserved site through Tim and confirmed a few times we are good and had a call with Drew this weekend confirming everything.

It looks like a great group of people are going to make it to the Spring Crappie Fest.  See below for important information:

* We are camping at the large group site #1/A Wed-Sun
* You must checkin at the lake store or station at park entrance to get your truck camping pass. Tell them you are with the Arizona Crappie Association and camping in the large group site. If you arrive too late, be sure and stop by in the morning to pick one up.
* AZCA members get Fri and Sat nights of camping paid for as a benefit of membership
* Please bring a side dish, dessert, etc. to share at the Saturday potluck.  We also need a person to bring plates, plastic forks/knives/spoons, and napkins.  Reply to this post on what you are bringing please.
* Please bring a bag of firewood for the Saturday campfire
* Crappie tournament entry forms provided on azca website (link provided in the comments) if you want to download and print one in advance.
* Crappie tournament on Saturday entry forms and live well checks are Saturday 5:45am until 6am-ish in the large group site. Weight of your largest 7 crappie place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and there is a "Wild Willie" biggest crappie payout as well. No crappie under 10" allowed.  Entry fee is $75 and that pays for the up-to-4 people you can have on your boat.  Max of 4 poles can be fished at a time from a boat. Boats need to be back at the large group site between 2:30pm-3pm.  Weight penalties occur for those who have not checked in with the tournament director before 3pm at the large group site.
* Bring cash for the crappie tournament (exact change preferred)
* AZCA meeting open to members and non-members held after the weigh-in. Lots of info including voting on next seaon's event dates and locations.  Please stick around for the meeting they usually only take about 15 minutes or so.
* Bring cash for the big raffle we'll hold after the meeting - 1 ticket for $10 or 6 tickets for $50 and we are giving away over $600 worth of prizes.  Your donations to the raffle held fund the AZCA events.
* Bring cash for AZCA merchandise as we have new shirts, cups, coozies, tumblers, and embroidered hats.
* I'll also have AZCA decals (free) for your truck, boat, or camper.

Thanks everyone for your help we couldn't do it without everyone chipping in.
