Fished Bartlett for the first time today. Action was slow/non-existent . Did hear about 3 crappies caught. Beautiful day to be on the lake!!! I'm going to take another swing at it tomorrow.  The kid won't be kept down!

Hi Wadefisherman,

I was fishing with one of your members with the name of Joe. You may know him as she shared with us that he lived in Alaska for 30 years.  If you have his e-mail address I would love to continue our conversation about joining. Any help would be appreciated.

On a side note can you help with size and color of road runners to get for trolling?  I want to try again and they come in sloop many colors and a couple sizes and I would like to be better prepared for my next outing.

Thanks!

Crappie Kid

Crappie Kid....Were you the boat that anchored near the shoreline in the afternoon??? The guy that dug up someone's lure. If so, I think you and your pard were in a crestliner???? We were the ranger that stopped to talk to Joe about 15 minutes before we left about 1530.

Yes!  I have it on mine as well Husker logos, which also would be nice if everyone had those on their boats as well.

To crappie kid, when I do use rr heads they r usually 1/16 oz, various colors. But usually I slow troll with a C&C setup or drop shot rig only rigged with minnows in the colder months.

if its bartlett its rbc baby... or i guess now popsicle. tipped with a minnow and on a clip spinner instead of the rr.. go with red white ir lime jig head in 1/16 or 1/8. thats just me. i going with some 3 inch big bites baits or the 3 inch slim kalins later in the year cuz i figure the rest of the forage is larger this time of year.
