Upcoming Events / 2024 Lake Powell Trip
« Last post by OneBlade on Today at 03:05 PM »
I wasn't able to make the trip this year but got some occasional updates while they were up there -- internet access is poor up there and often no cell service on the lake.

After a 3 year hiatus, the Arizona Crappie Association's annual Lake Powell trip resumed this year. This trip is organized by long time member Dave Thompson and includes a week long stay at Bullfrog Marina and group meals each night. Here's a few pictures of the walleye, smallmouth, stripers, catfish and everything in between they caught.

For Sale/Want / For Sale: 1" Stinger Tail Micro Finesse Baits
« Last post by OneBlade on April 28, 2024, 09:44 AM »
I'm posting this for AZCA member Patrick Middleton (SlabyPatty): I am not in the bait selling business.  Friend that is a bait maker that lives in Wisconsin makes these 1" Stinger Tail micro finesse baits.  I have caught fish on them in AZ, Wisconsin and Arkansas.  Friend is moving up to a 1.2" Tuna Tail Shad bait and will no longer be making these 1" baits.  So I bought all of his 1" Shad stock for a great price.  These are extra.  If someone want to try these, be glad to pass on the deal on what I have extra.  Thinking .25 each, 4 for a $1.  I use a 1/32nd oz jig head with #8 hooks that Matthew from AZ Lead Works makes me to rig these up.   I also use 1/64th oz ball heads also with #8 hooks.  But it is the 1/32nd oz that really works well with these.

Thanks Bruce, I had someone reach out and tell me it was open a week or two ago, and I was skeptical nor could I find info online saying it was.  Appreciate the post as do the lurkers/readers of this site.
