Title: Wally Marshall Crappie Cranks
Post by: Piscolli on June 13, 2010, 12:52 PM
They have proven to me to be any excellent trolling bait. They are the same thing as a Norman Deep Tiny N but almost $2 cheaper.

So Bill, what colors are you recommending and how deep/speed are you trolling them at?

Albino Shad and Lavender Shad trolled at about 1.25 MPH. They only dive 5 to 6' on their own so you'll have to add weight to get them deeper (if the fish are deeper). Right now I use a 1/8 oz bullet weight with a swivel in behind it and about 5' of leader to the bait. Kind of like a big Carolina Rig. I let 25 seconds of line out and that puts the crank at kust under 10' deep.
