Looks like this week's Catch of the Week for the AZGFD was a crappie from Patagonia once again. If this lake keeps getting the catch of the week it won't be a "secret" lake much longer. :P

I think it’s distance from the valley limits its exposure. This was another spring I didn’t get to any new lakes.
-
Yes some nice crappie coming out of that lake, wonder what the water temp is? good to see a black male this late :dontknow:
-
Never caught a crappie there, but have bass fished it. The bass seem to spawn after the bass in central AZ lakes. Elevation of Patagonia Lake is about 4000'

These are not the Crappie you are looking for. :bootyshake:

Apparently I need to talk about Patagonia or other southern AZ lakes to get his attention.
Let's do a club meeting down there. ;D

Patagonia is terrible, stay away ;D In all seriousness, its one of the more pretty lakes in my opinion. If i'm not mistaken, you cant use minnows at Patty. If any of y'all venture down this way let me know...minus this weekend, I may be headed to havasu to buy a new boat.

I don't know much about the lake. Is there any kind of motor restrictions on the lake?
How big is the lake? Are there any lakes you could compare the size to? Alamo? Willow Springs?
-
No, there are no motor restrictions. Its smaller than Alamo and I've never been to willow springs.
