Wheat thin, Crowbait, and I hit Powell last weekend for a few days. Day 1 was rough with the wind but several beautiful days after that. Didn't target crappie but managed a few anyways in San Juan Arm and Last Chance Bay. The largest if you can believe it Wheat Thin caught on a chovie while striper fishin.

That's a nice crappie!
Bobby still fishes?? :)

Thanks for the report! Skinny Stripers - Almost looks like you got a bigger fillet from the Crappie than the Striper.....

Glad ya'll could finally get out!

Congrats on the crappie, them stripers look real skinny.

Yes it is official. I was at a lake and catching fish. Great time. Thanks Kevin and Rich once again.
For those who haven't been to Powell, it is a must go. The beauty alone is worth it.
First cast of trip 2lb+ walley.
Plenty of small mouth. I caught 6 different species day 2. NO crappie though.
Had a blast.

Yes stripers were very skinny in the San Juan Arm, that crappie fillet was bigger. Last day in Navajo Canyon the stipers were much healthier though.

San Juan stripers were very unhealthy. The schools of striper by the docks at dangling rope were sick looking too. Navajo was a different story, still really fat. I caught an 18 inch largemouth that didn't even top 2 lbs. Hopefully with the water level coming up this year the shad will rebound.... Still an awesome time, and great company.
