Title: THE 2013 BHCC HAS BEEN MOVED
Post by: Piscolli on October 05, 2013, 08:52 AM
Due to the closure of the Tonto National Forest which includes the group sites at Roosevelt Lake the 2013 Bob Hirsch Crappie Classic has been moved to the Alamo State Park/ Alamo Lake. Many of us have already reserved campsites in the Cholla C-Area. As of right now we have C-12, 14, 16, 18 and 19.

Many of us are coming in on Thursday, the rest on Friday and will be camping/ fishing until Sunday. We will still have the debry on Saturday followed by an open club meeting (open to prospective members) and a fish fry.

Alamo is a great lake with very nice camp grounds. When the Crappie bite is on Alamo is second to none for catch rates and size of fish. So we are excited about the event and determined to have a great weekend while honoring a true outdoor legend in Arizona, the late Mr. Bob Hirsch.

Here is a link to the the website for reservation: https://azstateparks.itinio.com/alamolake/

We hope that you can join us and look forward to another successful BHCC!

Please, no political comments.  :banghead:

I thought Alamo built a group site last year? May be a cheaper option versus getting the individual sites, probably doesn't have h2o or power. Anyone know for sure?

There is a Group campsite just above Cholla
ramp, it is large gravel parking area, porta johns and the Ramada but there is no power or water, you can literally throw a rock to the ramp
