I am tired of getting schooled by people I take fishing with me...
Took Willie, his buddy Cliff and my friend Tom out. On the lake at 0730 and headed to Cat bay. 8:30 I get my 1st and only slab of the day. Willie and Cliff get skunked (crappie) and about 1130 Tom gets his 1st slab. Then he proceeds to get 7 more fish (1 double), its seems the fish have moved into the trees and you need to be brushing the tops of the trees with your minnows to pull the fish out. We did everything we could to imitate Toms actions but it seems he had the magic on this trip. Pole in hand and slow troll, very light bite. We did pick up some nice bass and Cliff got big fish, a nice sized channel cat so everyone got a few bends on the poles. Cold in the am, nice by the afternoon.
