I finally got the boat on the water Sun. 2/9 , from 10 am to 4 pm we started trolling at the buoy line and picked up 4 fish in less then 30 min. all between 1 lb. & 1.75 lb. the water temp. read 53 degrees . We went up river past the Island picking up 2 small bass. turned back down stream and picked up 2 more smaller fish (.75 lb. ) just below the buoy line in front of the cove . We were trolling between .8 mph. & 1 mph. with 6 lb. line, 1/8 oz. orange jig heads and 3" Yamamoto chart. & pepper grubs , we tried other colors but that is the only thing they would take. We took all the fish in 24 ft. to 30 ft. of water , running our jigs about 12 ft. deep. I mostly have fished Rosey for the last 20 yrs. but it seems that the winter bite there is gone
. Hoping to get back out there again next weekend , as the weather was perfect.
