Alamo 2/14 - 2/16
« on: February 18, 2015, 01:53 PM »
Sally and I struck out (ZERO) on Sat the 14th, took 4 on Sun and 8 on Mon along with a big other species fish. 3 of th4 we got on Sun were females and 7 of the 8 we got Mon were males. big size difference between the males and females and I'm wondering where the females went on Mon? We got most of our catch in the trees just north of the buoy line on the eastern half of the lake, one came from the west side above the buoy line and one a little bit south of the buoy line as we trolled back to the boat ramp at the south end of the lake. Water was in the upper 50's to mid 60's. On Mon we had the best catch with a black jig head tipped with minnows and smeared with white scent gel. We learned about the gel on Sun night and it seemed to make a big difference on Mon.

We had a great time, learned a lot, visited with Menrats, Crappie Guy and some other very nice crappie anglers.

Fish on!
