2021 SCF Fishing Tournament Info
« on: March 21, 2021, 10:12 AM »
Because the Let's Talk Fishing (LTF) tournament is the same day/time as the AZCA Spring Crappie fest tournament and we may have people who want to enter the LTF tournament as well as our AZCA SCF tournament, we have worked out a plan.  You will provide your entry form(s) and your request to enter the LTF and/or AZCA SCF crappie tournament(s) Saturday, April 10th from 4am to 6am at Windy Hill Bobcat boat ramp. There, Tracy will confirm your boat number and flight on when you can depart and return for weigh-in. Everyone is given the same amount of time to fish and we are using LTF tournament execution to ensure safe departure.  You will then dock your boat and wait until safelight and announcement of your boat number.

Important!! For those people fishing either/both crappie tournament, please immediately call or text Tracy Purtee at 928-978-3659.  You will need to provide (1) the boat captain and names of everyone in your boat and (2) the date of tournament April 10, and (3) which tournaments (LTF and/or AZCA) you want to enter. If you're not sure if you're going to enter one or both, you don't have to specify that.  This will reserve you a boat number and get you in an earlier flight, if that is your preference.

The earlier you contact Tracy, the more chance you will have at picking the flight you'll be on for departure/arrival rather than being assigned a later flight if you first contact him on tournament morning.

For the AZCA SCF tournament, please download the attached entry form.  You will need to complete this form and provide on Saturday, April 10th at Windy Hill Bobcat ramp (4am to 6am) for your entrance in the tournament. For the LTF tournament, please check out https://www.letstalkfishin.com/ or ask Tracy he'll have the information you need.

At safelight (expected around 6:15am), Tracy Purtee will start with prayer and the National Anthem, and then will call out boat numbers when they can depart. Do not depart until you hear your boat number.  Do not arrive late for your weigh in.  Tracy Purtee will weigh in crappie tournament entrants, regardless if you entered LTF and/or AZCA SCF tournament.

After everyone has weighed in (approx 4:30pm), Tracy and Matt will announce winners of the crappie tournaments at the Windy Hill Bobcat boat ramp area.

FYI, cost for LTF is $100 and they have option for goon fish.  Cost for AZCA SCF is $75 where $60 of that goes back to winners for weight (1st through 3rd place) and Wild Willie Big Fish ($15 goes for various fees like TNF permit, event liability insurance, etc.).

COVID-19 Prevention
The Tonto National Forest (TNF) permit used by both LTF and AZCA requires we follow strict Covid-19 prevention protocols for registration and weigh-in, including no gathering for awards or awards ceremonies and entrants staying in their vehicles or maintaining social distance for entry and weigh-in. These special TNF-required Covid-19 prevention rules will be followed for our AZCA-sponsored and LTF tournaments.

Hi Ray welcome aboard! I'm glad we were able to help you get your account set up.

As long as you have your post set up here, you should be able to get your answer soon. If there aren't any open back seats right now, some people have things come up at the last minute that opens up a back seat.

Reminder, be sure and print out and fill out the tournament entry form (attached at the top of this post) ahead of time, and bring exact change ($75).

Ray, I haven't heard from anyone looking for a backseat yet, sorry.
