« on: November 06, 2023, 07:36 PM »
Here's your weekly Arizona Crappie fishing report, provided by Randy Howton (AZ Crappie Sniper Guide Service), Matthew Picklesimer (AZLeadWorks), Cameron Gilliam (Crappie whisperer), and Brian Bernard (Mudshark Marine) as part of their weekly Monday night 7:00pm live feed on Facebook. To listen live and interact/comment, you just need to like and follow the "National Crappie League's Crappie fisherman of arizona" Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/169460015028474.

Crappie Fishing Report 11/6/23

Lake Pleasant -- catching bigger white crappie.  Biggest black crappie was only 1.25lbs.  Some fish being caught deep so best if you catch them then vent the fish to help it survive. Randy has shown a few how to do this so if you're not sure, ask him and he can show you (best if demo'd with a live crappie).  Water level now isn't too much different from last tournament so

Bartlett Lake -- Randy went there last week and they were tough to catch, but the ones he caught were good sized.  When Randy went last week, main lake was muddy but Yellow Cliffs and up river not as bad. However, Cameron and Brian went recently and it was fairly dirty water everywhere.

Roosevelt Lake -- still "on fire" catching crappie. There are fish everywhere but they find the larger ones 25-30ft and fish tops of trees.

Alamo Lake -- people catching them trolling, and some big ones too

Patagonia & Talkalai -- have seen some reports of crappie being caught at these lakes

Remember, this weekend on Saturday is NCL tournament at Lake Pleasant and the 1st annual Veteran's tournament is on Sunday.  Boat captains show up around 5am with Veterans showing up starting at 6am and then launching 7am-ish. There are some great giveaway items for veterans after the tournament as well as burgers and hot dogs and sides being served after weigh-in.  Liar's Korner is donating minnows for the Veteran's tournament and several other businesses donating various items for the tournament.
